Contract Packing
Contract packing adapts a delivery of goods from how it arrives into the configuration and format that the customer specifies. The range of this service is wide and varied, from re-palletising to re-labelling and sorting to collating. Contract packing is a non-core process and ideal to outsource, leaving vital components of the business in house.
Palletising
Imported containers are loaded from floor to ceiling in order to ensure they are cost efficient. However, UK and European customers may have specific rules on how they receive their goods, i.e. palletised, with strict dimension limits to fit into their pallet racking. As contract packers, Euro Pressing Services can unload the container and stack the pallets safely to comply with the customer´s instructions.
Re-packing
Each customer may require different cartons and just one product may have to be packed several ways, when several customers buy the same item. The staff at Euro Pressing Services have experience of unpacking and re-packing goods for delivery to most major retailers. Promotions may also generate the need to re-pack items into special packaging showing a special offer.
Re-bagging is included in this category too, as customers may request bundle bags instead of individual bags on garments in order to reduce their waste. Euro Pressing takes environmental issues very seriously and recycles any polythene that is removed.
Re-working
Re-working may include re-labelling for each customer´s own product number and barcode. At Euro Pressing Services labels can be produced in house as required. We have vast experience of unpacking re-labelling and re-packing or hanging and bagging garments. The bags may be open, taped or heat-sealed.
Re-working can also include any alteration that may be necessary, either in the warehouse or when delivered. We have experience of delivering and assembling display units so that customers have the display up and running without delay or effort.
Sorting
Products may be delivered mixed up and require a complete re-sort. As space may be at a premium, a contract packer can fit the bill with space to spread the items and provide the right environment to fulfil an accurate sort and repack.
Collating
Sales items may be made up of more than one product. They can even be sourced from different countries not just from different suppliers. These products need to be collated and re-packaged ready to sell. Euro Pressing has experience of dealing with many similar requests, such as teaming a shirt with a tie or collating multiple packs of toys.
